Do you wish to work with individuals from the ages of 8 and upwards, teaching them computer and technical skills, that will help them to build their future? At Geeks Room we are looking for people with a passion and dedication to helping individuals learn new skills, socialise and feel included within their community. 



We are here for everyone, delivering specific programmes and activities to target people with a range of abilities. We provide regular workshops, one to one training and practical experience. We also provide work experience opportunities and support individuals to move into employment and education.

Front Office Management and Administration

As part of our management team you will help with things such as customer service, helping to sign students and visitors in, and answering phone calls. As well as aid the school administrator in administration tasks.


Coding Mentor

As a Coding, you will aid us in delivering sessions on block-based and text-based coding/programming young people of all abilities and capabilities. We work with application such as Scrath 3.0, Clickteam, as well as languages such as Java and Python.


Technical Mentor

As a Technical Mentor, you will aid us in teaching sessions with our repair workshop, repairing items such as laptops, phones and tablets. You will be working with the individuals, showing them how to safely and successfully repair items.


Design Mentor

As a Design Mentor, you will aid us in teaching sessions in website, app and game design, as well as 3D design/creation. Working with applications such as Photoshop, TinkerCad and HTML.  You will work with the individuals to teach them how to design, concept and follow briefs in design areas.

What We are Looking For

Times available:

We are open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm, and have various times and opportunities for all who wish to volunteer with us. We will work with you to ensure your volunteering doesn’t affect work, education or home life.
